Description of the incident: The Commander joined the round, and came straight to requisitions and climbed into the powerloader. I told him to get out, and he ran off down the corridor with the Cargo Tech and fired a shot, he then turned around, and began attacking me with the powerloader. When I was being cloned, he attempted to toss me into the crematorium, then dragged me to bridge and refused to take me back. When confronted in LOOC he stated he was new to the server, and wasn't stealing, simply testing out new equipment. Which I then told him that wasn't his job. He tried to deny griefing, even when I showed him screenshots, then ICly tried to interrogate me as if I was a syndicate spy. At this point I did grab a gun, which I admit was wrong, but there was no staff on and he was griefing, and tried to kill me again after I had been cloned.

How you would punish the accused:

Job-ban from Command staff, and warning. I admit, it's unfair to permanantly ban him, as he is a new player. But it's better that he understands how roles work here, and starts with something a lot simpler than Commander

Ok this is what I have seen right.
So the commander comes in and gets in the powerloader and starts walking around in it for no apparent purpose, you tell him to get out of the loader due to the fact he has no reason to be in it. Up to this point it's fine but then.

This all escalates very quickly and no other words are shared at this point from what the logs show me so at this point that would be improper escalation on Desmond's half.
Then what I see after this is when John is being cloned.

Now again here I see John has been killed by a player for no good reason which already would be a bannable offence but as he has been cloned he could continue to play the round despite the grief previously however in comes Desmond again and kills John Hayter for apparently trying to kill him despite John being killed by Desmond earlier. Now the logs from what I can see do not show attack logs of John trying to kill Desmond so if Desmond replies here if he has screenshots of John Hayter trying to kill him that would be helpful to the case. At this moment and time I have no way to see what John did to try kill the CO or if he even did at all but really what I see here is wrong again on Desmond part because killing John even if he did try to kill him should not be the way to deal with it, brig him or do something else but killing him just seems a bit too far from my standing point.

Now there are exchanges of words and such over LOOC which aren't really important, there is a large jump in the logs which is really only like 2-3 minutes and this is what I see there.

Before John fired at Desmond there was some sort of interrogation or something going on which I didn't quite get how that lead into this but after John had been killed at least once by Desmond I feel that 4 shots is completely justified. After the shots are fired there is a little bit more conversation in LOOC and then it just stops.

Conclusion
After looking through all the logs for both the players I have come to the conclusion that Desmond should be job banned from either commander or command roles in general. I see dickish commentary in LOOC from both parties, so much grief from Desmond and improper escalation leading to said grief so I feel like a command job ban would be the best idea.

I spoke with Dobbin and he explained everything to me and their previous notes. Given the CO had no real need to be in the APLU which either means the CO intended to grief to start with or is extremely new. from the screaming at 08:14:20 to 08:14:35 I'm presuming that this is WHERE you was squeezed by the mech, This is clearly grief and NOT acceptable on ANY part, nor is REMOVING your from the round entirely.

Given VenomBH's rather difficult situation of the CO killing him without reason or need, and having no physical way to deal with said person nullifies anything done to CO by Venom.

Given this and all evidence, I stand by Dobbin's suggestion of a Command role ban. However, I would suggest also adding a 24-hour ban to the Accused ckey.

I think I've banned Desmond Bullard for griefing today. He was caught shooting and killing a marine that got facehugged. I would definitely recommend increasing his ban as he clearly hasn't read the rules.
