Description of the incident: That round I was avoiding predators like the plague because I know what they're capable of. I was just returning from some LZ1 marine harassment, wounded. As I was going north I noticed I bumped into something for a second and stopped. By the time I saw the cloaked predator outline he'd already fired the plasma caster at me and I was dead. I ahelped about it and got no response, but Coroneljones started talking about it in deadchat so it was clear it was him. I asked to be revived but the answer was no. His justification was that he was earlier attacked by other xenos and thought I was another hunter, which make no sense to me because all xenos pretty much look the same. So apparently it was my fault for bumping into a cloaked predator I didn't even see that justified him ending my round instantly. Thankfully I have proof.
Also another thing I think is absolutely not okay and most staff on the server seem to do - they handle their own case. If you think about it for a second it makes no sense for the accused to have the last word saying if it's ok or not. Coronel being an admin, the other online staff didn't even feel the need respond because it was one of their own and SURELY admins can't break rules, right?. Therefor I think a no handling your own case rule should be put in place, or even better a deadmin for one round if you're playing rule, because Coronel often talks in deadchat while playing and is able to be fed information from deadchat. This is why some servers don't allow admining while playing. It avoids situations like this and unfair advantages for admins.

Heres the situation
Walking around the nexus, checking out the marines, just latejoined as a pred a few minutes ago, throwing flares away to have more room to walk around since a SADAR was nearby, suddenly a runner pounces me, I kill it, and an elite hunter starts chasing me and slashing me, It runs off multiple times, and I try to butcher the body to get my trophy.
It keeps coming back, slashing, hiding and then running away, it even goes as far as to steal the runner body, it was south of LZ1 first, it dragged it northwards, I ran off with the body even more north, it kept coming back as I try to skin it, even bringing the aid of another runner.

I even try to cloak-skin, doesnt work he finds me and keeps going after me, I try the caster, its too fast.
I saw an "Elite Hunter" bump into me, wich I assumed was the same one since I didnt see any other xenos apart from the first runner and the hunter thats been after me, around LZ1, to wich I promptly plasma caster it, job done, I can skin the trophy in peace.
Nope, then I learn it wasnt the same hunter, I clarify the reason for you in deadchat since everybody else was occupied, and you ask for a revive.
Later you ask for it again via an a-help, nobody picks it up, the case is, we cant make special cases for people due to confusions, if its an IC within rules accident.

Deadchat got muted soon after due to the massive salt intake, so thats my side of the story.

Why didn't you face the hunter like a proper predator would? Just because hes being a good xeno and actually doing harm to you it justifies you cloak killing HIM like that? Point is even if it WAS that elite hunter I wouldn't ever justify killing that way.

I attempted to, and hit it atleast once or twice, it ran and pounced away, i couldnt even catch up to it

I would see no problem with reviving him in the case of an accident like this. Our job is to make rounds more fun for people, no?

Going by the logs it seems that Coronel had slain a Young runner, and was attempting to Collect the trophy when Elite Hunter 40 attacked him, During this, he fired a plasma caster at the Hunter once given the Hunter had stolen the Trophy and was running away. It seems that you were just unlucky to bump into Coroneljones. As for them answering adminhelps against them, This is more for the Staff complaints section than a player report.

However, As I don't have ANY say over the actions taken against a predator player, I cannot give my suggested course of actions.

The rules are quite clear on killing while cloaked.

Killing while cloaked: It is very dishonorable for a hunter to kill prey while he is cloaked. It ignores all laws of fair and honorable hunting, and giving the prey a fighting chance. You may hunt and chase your prey while cloaked (a stun shot or two is fine), but once you are prepared to engage and fight (more than just chasing it or luring it) and kill it, you must decloak. The only exception, is removing obstacles between yourself. For example if you are hunting the queen, and marines attack you (not join the hunt, but physically attack you) then you may cloak and engage them to chase them off. Fighting while cloaked, should be limited to breaking up large groups, or forcing marines to retreat. Your focus should not be to kill, but to divert, distract, or force to retreat your targets.

A young runner is not a worthy trophy to begin with, using a heavy plasma shot in a 1v1 situation is dishonorable, using it while cloaked in a 1v1 situation is even more dishonorable, and using it to cloak kill is exceedingly dishonorable in a 1v1.

It wouldn't have been honorable to attack the same hunter while cloaked with a heavy plasma shot, and especially not a new one who was already wounded.

CJ will be suspended from Predator for 1 month, as there was a clear rule break done.

This seems more like a error, as i can understand its impossible to catch certain xenos and you have to use your caster sometimes to finish them off.

However, it was jones fault for not verifying it was the same hunter.

30day suspension starting from this day.
