In-hand gun interaction

Post by Derpislav » 30 Nov 2016, 16:51

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Remove the requirement to keep a gun in your hand to reload it. It's clumsy and hurts gameplay. Also, remove the pop-up when toggling attachments with multiple weapons in your inventory. It asks you to pick which one you want to interact with, but... you can only toggle attachments in your active hand. Redundant and laggy.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Less clumsiness.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): As above.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Lockie 'Furry' Hughes, your local source of annoyance, medicine and Will. E. Coyote engineering. Mostly medicine. Maybe annoyance.

Nope, -1, realism trumps gameplay at this aspect in the reloading part, but the rest +1

The requirement to hold the gun acts partially as a sanity check and partially a way to force the player to interact with the object like a real firearm, which is the intent. The latter can be resolved by using .click macro, and has been posted all over the place, including the changelog. It's not possible otherwise. Denied.
