Give Freelancers IDs that don't activate claymores or sentry guns

Post by McRipfist » 10 Dec 2016, 20:44

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Was just in a round in which the Freelancers(Whom I was a part of) were gunned down and blown up upon arriving at LZ2. Prior to this 3/4 of the team (Out of a team of four) were maim'd by a sentry gun in the Sulaco briefing room. I suggest the Freelance IDs authorize the mercenaries so that we don't get fucked completely before we can even assist the marines.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
-I won't be blown to shit trying to save my already bullet ridden comrade from a USCM sentry gun.
-The mercenaries won't get blown to shit the moment they walk into a field of junk and mines

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
It'd work just like it did before.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Revert the ID change to a degree.

Freelancers are not supposed to have IFF tagging, because they are the ERT equivalent of survivors. ERT itself is not a guarantee of anything; you spawn in, you may do something, or you may die right after stepping off the shuttle, either by xenomorphs, sentries, or whatever else. If marines want to give the ERT the IFF tag access, they can, but they should not start with it.
