PO Midi
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Allow the PO to set midis on his flight console.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Can make flights more dramatic/atmospheric without requiring an admin.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Have the pilot officer able to select a midi from a list to play whenever the rasp launches, but ONLY the pilot officer, and it will only play when the rasp launches. Furthermore, have it take 30 minutes to an hour to recharge.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding

Re: PO Midi
Would it only affect the Shuttle area? I guess it'd work like a jukebox or instrument.

That's why I suggested the 30 minute to an hour timer inbetween Midis.Rain7x wrote:This could be abused badly... but still +1 because it'd be cool.

Ah. I didn't see that. Perhaps we could also have (lame I know) pre-selected MIDIs.NoahKirchner wrote:That's why I suggested the 30 minute to an hour timer inbetween Midis.

Re: PO Midi
so I can't put on my favourite weeb playlist so I can sing to my wifau on my way down? own songs? this could work if we implemented a system where we could request midis.up to rhal at the end of the day,anywayRain7x wrote:Ah. Re: PO Midi
Yeah, that's a good idea, that way we can have player songs that aren't just some ear rape file.Joe4444 wrote:so I can't put on my favourite weeb playlist so I can sing to my wifau on my way down? own songs? this could work if we implemented a system where we could request midis.up to rhal at the end of the day, anyway

Re: PO Midi
This was actually one of the original ideas behind the pilot role. We ultimately decided against it because of file bloat and the community's general dislike of having the same five song being played over and over.

Re: PO Midi
Maybe, instead of having it play as a Midi, it could play like a violin but with pre-selected songs? (would take some work to get them to work in the format) That'd also make it so that you could only hear it on the Rasputin.monkeysfist101 wrote:This was actually one of the original ideas behind the pilot role. Re: PO Midi
I assume you say "god no" because it'd be spammed with no restrictions, but in the suggestion I mentioned either having a time limit on when you could use it, or only having it be able to be used once in a round. That way it either helps the round, or you get a midi in the background to turn off, couldn't really hurt it.Snypehunter007 wrote:God no, -1
