Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Make it possible to shoot into the darkness. it doesn't make sense why we can't already do that.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Gives the marines the means to suppress a general location were an enemy is located.
Aliens are already protected by the darkness so they can simply move out of the way while marines waste ammo.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
make it possible to shoot at dark tiles.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
code
Shooting into the Darkness.

Re: Shooting into the Darkness.
+1 should be totally possible even if there's an accuracy penalty to hitting stuff in total darkness (unless you have NV etc at the time of firing obviously).

Re: Shooting into the Darkness.
The issue is more so with SS13 itself. You can't shoot at tiles you can't see. It's a design that can't really be modified or removed.

Re: Shooting into the Darkness.
This is VERY annoying. Sometimes you know that there is an alien on darkness, but you can't shoot. After ypi click on the tile below the darkness, the alien already left his position

On May 17, 2016, a group of farmers dug up the diary of an ear of corn named Watson. Here are his entries.
Day 76:
They took Lawrence, dear god Lawrence... They ripped him off the stalk and smeared him in butter, just like Tyler and Jodie. They shipped him off to the popcorn factory...
I wonder what his wife will say.
Day 120: My brother says the VEGANS are protesting for more anti-meat bullshit. They want more of us to die. FUCKING HEATHENS.
Day 153: The ants are eating me from the inside out. They are popping out my kernels and taking them back to the nest. I feel them moving inside me. Julia says the pesticides will end our misery.
Day 300: Sweet Release. I can hear the planes flying over now. They are dropping the gas, it feels so good, sweet release-

Re: Shooting into the Darkness.
We'd love to do this but this is, unfortunately, a limitation of byond. There's a chance we'll get it eventually, but reworking basic functions is pretty far on the backburner.

Re: Shooting into the Darkness.
It's not something the devs made on purpose but something within ss13 itself.. A solution is to click the tile where you want the bullet to go, bullets still moves after they go out of the screen and can hit xenos.

AS far as I know, this is a Byond limitation. Denied.
