Mines Should Damage Slashers

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):

Mines should explode and damage adjacent Xenus when slashed.


Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):

Prevents cost free mass disarming of mines by any caste in the game.

Bonus verisimilitude/realism.

Reinforces the role of Crusher as minesweeper.


Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):

As per summary.

The damage and stun dealt by a slashed mine is about half that of one that detonated normally, so as to reward aliens that successfully detect and avoid mines, without making mines almost completely useless in the absence of constant marine babysitting.

I agree with this, how do you slash a mine, and then NOT get damaged? the christ mate? +1

Why even slash mines if you get damaged either way?
Also, theres a pretty good chance they get hit by the blast when they slash it

Mines shouldn't need to be babysat to be effective. They are place and forget. It's area denial for the xenos until a crusher comes along.

Allowing xenos to currently take mines out negates that entirely, it should be as suggested to make crushers more wanted (as most people prefer jumping in as ravagers).

It can already explode and hurt them when slashed. Resolved.
