Medhud changes

Post by Jaketeaking » 23 Jan 2017, 15:51

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): basically, with the cloning removal update,i feel a change should be made to the medhud, so if a persons "Defib timer" isnt up yet, medics may try defibbing

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
makes medics life a tad easier again.
people who can get revived are more likely to be.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
basically, a dead guy gets the skull icon within a few seconds, but theres nothing to differentiate whos been dead 30 minutes and whos been dead 1
So, i suggest, if the "timer" has not yet expired, they get a seperate icon, for example a lightning bolt, or a D symbol.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): N/A.
The man known as James 'patch' Alfonse. also gets called hotdog and "lemon.
"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do, and they will surprise you with their ingenuity" - General George S Patton
WO first ever round -- only doctor.
WOv2 - First ever CO to survive more than 30 minutes, thanks to the help of bravo, charlie, delta, and flex the madman who killed at least 30 using an MG turret and an epic bombardment

This is kinda already a thing, if they have a cross as their health still, even if their bar is completely black, they can be defibbed.

As soon as their health moves to a "skull", they are dead.

not with the new system, its a skull within a few seconds, but they can still be revived for up to 5 minutes

+1 It would defibbing easier since you can tell at a glance who can be brought back.
Troublesome, as usual.

+1 As it saves on medical supplies and defib charges before even trying, if you knew the person is braindead at a glance.

+1, you can back this up with necrotic analyzis of the tissues or something by the medhud (Perhaps it did a quick infra-ray scan of the temperature of the body and found out, who knows).
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.
