Health Analyzers record time of "death"

Post by Crab_Spider » 25 Jan 2017, 07:14

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Per title

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Medics have a true way to know if wounded have been "dead" for 3 minutes or 18 minutes. Makes a great addition to the MP role play just as it can enhance the role play for amarines who are investigating the bodies of dead colonists (like they're supposed to)

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Per title

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding (?)
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

UPVOTED AS SOON AS I READ THE TITLE +1

Edit: because of defibs, but MP investigation is nice too. On that note, autopsy code is still in, there are just no autopsy scanners.

Neutral, would like to hear more reasoning for it.

It's simply for making the job of defibbing bodies easier, and since cloning was removed and Marines have to stay in their corpses to be revived, the recorded time of "death" could allow for a quicker method of knowing if Kevin McNeil has suffered too much damage or ghosted. There's also a matter of knowing how recent someone's demise was when discovering Marine's body planetside, as this correlates pretty well with an ambush or calculating where the perpetrator can be. (this can be known with the type of damage the body has suffered)

Neutral. In theory, this would increase successful defibbings. In practice, this would means medics would have to scan every corpse, and compare the time of death and the current time. As it is now, this suggestion would make it more tedious for medics.
Troublesome, as usual.

Unless I am wrong, can't you defib a marine unless they are decapitated? No matter their damage that is?

nope,if chestbursted, took too much damage or like you said, decapped you can't defib them.

+1 to the suggestion however.
