crouching pass-fire

Post by mizolo » 26 Jan 2017, 17:44

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
a way to crouch would be to add like a button that says "toggle crouch" or even "prone" so you could have three lines or columns or rows firing at the same time, so people could shoot over you, however, there always needs to be a BAD THING for every suggestion, so, maybe you will be immobile when-ever you crouch or lay down?
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
MUCH LESS FF as is the current main problem for marines, and make xeno's more swarm-like in their tactics
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
click the button for up or down one "level"
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
coding??? i'm no coder but maybe coding?

I feel like this would actually make MORE ff, because you would assume in certain situations that a marine standing in front of you is prone during an assault or such, which really that isn't where most ff happens anyway

most ff happens just when 2 or 3 marines are wandering and they see a runner and he gets close and boom, ff
or when a marine walks right into your line of fire
its not that difficult to prevent hitting a non moving target
I play Xeno 99% of the time. All castes.

This was suggested and denied before. We cannot implement crouching due to the amount of resources and time it would take, including adding new sprites and mechanics.
