Taped Magazines [Marine]
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Implement a new attachment called "taped magazines", where a second magazine can be attached to a designated gun and once the user runs out of ammo for his loaded magazine the second automatically loads into the gun.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Solves this problem of having to leave the battlefield to reload. There is simply no reason other than to maintain surpressive fire.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): As the name suggests, by attaching this reload modification to any magazine fed gun excluding the M41A pulse rifle and M44 combat revolver, will allow the user to insert a second magazine into it. Once the first magazine gets used up, it drops onto the ground and switches to the taped magazine which loads into the gun. The taped magazines are an under barrel attachment and focus on surpressive continuous firepower over stopping power. The downside is, accuracy is hampered by 2%, meaning you can't keep a small assault of lower level castes down sufficiently. You're trading surpressive, constant firepower over accuracy. They come in the attachment venders in a total of 6.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding and spriting

You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

+1 if we get an akimbo-friendly attachment for SMGs. Also laser sights on every attachment slot.
Jokes aside, +1. The thingie used to connect magazines instead of ghettoing it with duct tape is called a cinch.
This is not really a major attachment, so... why not allow connecting magazines with cable coil instead? It creates an essentially double-capacity magazine that you activate in your hand to take apart.

I mean at this point, why not just give the RO a set number of extended/drum magazines? It'd be much easier to code and would have the same effect without the arbitrary accuracy and speed debuffs.

Then marines would ask for those all too often. Although it's more practical, I seriously just want to have the dream of this...https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A2KJHysK6k8Halinder wrote:I mean at this point, why not just give the RO a set number of extended/drum magazines? Re: Taped Magazines [Marine]
See how the whole magazine is in the rifle?
That's why this is impossible.

Re: Taped Magazines [Marine]
He edited it to exclude rifles and revolvers, it would be wonderful for SMGs and pistols. So it's still valid for the gunslinger loadout. +1

Too bad his logic can't be debated. Unless we added it for other guns then in that case.........apophis775 wrote:See how the whole magazine is in the rifle?

-1 Because I don't see how this makes sense. Honestly if anything do what someone else said and give RO extended mags. OR, let extended mags be in hacked vendors, or something, I don't know and im not sure I care enough.

Re: Taped Magazines [Marine]
does the m39s magazine stick out a ways, allowing it to be taped? even if it isnt suitable for all guns due to their magazine design, its worth thinking about. however, it being a gun attachment feels strange to me, it is a modification you should be performing on the mags themselves which speed or simplify reloading, rather than the weapon
