M41a pulse rifle
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): basically, adding this beast of a rifle to either the marine prep vendors (In limited amounts, maybe 2 per vendor) or the SL vendor.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): more choice, and variety.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
as summarized basically. its a great weapon, its fun, sounds great, and has a decent ammo count.
Lore wise, this may also make sense, the limited amounts accounting for the fact thats its nearly phased out by the MK2, but isnt quite gone yet.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
seeing as this weapon already exists in game, cant imagine it would be too difficult.

You can actually get one if you put the spec coin in a marine vendor

Re: M41a pulse rifle
I think it has potential, I mean everyone loves this rifle, except for the no attachment shit with it. I love the M41A Mk1.
For a spec, it's a waste of a coin. It's either you get the rifle, or you get the ammo. No inbetween.
I think it could be a whole, "RO gets a few of them" or maybe "SL gets one M41A". I think either of those would be pretty cool, but that's just me.
Neutral, leaning a LOT towards +1.

+1 Rifle would be useful to marines and I believe it wouldn't hurt the round too much as it sacrifices attachments as well as making more sense lore wise

+1, love firing the MK1.
For balance, it would best to make it an upgraded vendor item. One per vendor, four magazines included.

Re: M41a pulse rifle
I find the MK1 to be a better rifle than the MK2's we use, sure there's attachments, but RO causes nothing but trouble in reality, and slows down deployment time.

+1 but its only allowed an UGL in the underbarrel slot, as that's the only thing that can be put on there. It also can't be taken off.

Re: M41a pulse rifle
You can take off the UGL by putting in a new UGL.Joe4444 wrote:+1 but its only allowed an UGL in the underbarrel slot, as that's the only thing that can be put on there. It also can't be taken off.
Eazy peazy.
With the amount of rounds in the MK1, thats the only attachment you will really need tbh.

Exactly, UGL itself plus the amount of ammo is a good combo.Swagile wrote:You can take off the UGL by putting in a new UGL.

+1
Idea:
>just make the Mk1 not able to take any attachments accept for the UGL (a more cardboard and plain, but a more robust gun)
>keep the MK2 as it is with all of the stuff that can go on (a more flexible gun, but lacks in the robust department)
So what you do you think?

Re: M41a pulse rifle
I honestly wish we could play with the M41A 1 model more often instead of only just during events.
Maybe having this gun be put in the hands of SLs (to ether use themselves or to hand over to a selected marine to act as a light MG trooper) would be a decent idea. Keep in mind, though that the gun has 90 bullet mags, so clearly if they were provided to the marines, the magazines would have to be very few in number to keep it from being too overpowered.
Remember, the model 2 rifle has an ammo cap of 40 bullets per mag. 6 spare mags of normal ammo would amount to 240 rounds, while model 1 mags would amount to a whooping 540 rounds... So clearly you wouldn't need a lot of spare magazines for this gun.

Re: M41a pulse rifle
I am fine with this for Main based game mode. Like for SL on WO, they have Mk1... so it'll be cool if only SL get this. Or RO have some in his vendors, just a few to be given out.

Re: M41a pulse rifle
just make belts only hold like 4 maybe mags? i mean cant you already fit 6 Heavy Pulse Rifle mags in it? 600 rounds?Renomaki wrote:I honestly wish we could play with the M41A 1 model more often instead of only just during events.

>this is hard to covert to a standard rifle because the only way to even it would be to nerf the amount of slots in a belt
>this means it would overall hurt smg and shotgun users and make the rifle alot better
maybe you can only put the mags in the belt, and only a certain amount, and cant put any in your pockets and armor? (not webbing)

It's not standard, and you will not see it as regular thing. Denied.
