Xeno tackle

Post by adamkad2 » 27 Feb 2017, 15:56

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Have tackle power change inversely proportinally to slash allowance

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):Make the aliens have a easier time when slashing is prohibited, while also giving sense to keeping it that way, and forcing them to be less reckless when its permitted

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):depending on slash setting, tackle would be stronger and more effective or weaker and less effective, making it easier for aliens to defend themselves when its forbidden and forcing them to be less careless when it is permitted. tacklespam with allowed slashing really ruins any retaliation possibilty

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Janina 'Bullseye' Jardine- Never misses, but what she DOES hit is another thing

This place would be so much better if marines were replaced with cyborgs, atleast those would follow orders. assuming there was a rule forcing them to do so...

+1 I can see this working. Marines don't have to worry about early round hugger combat, and xenos can properly defend themselves
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

-1 I feel as if this will just cause micromanaging Queens to be a norm, constantly deactivating and activating slashing for situations, sounds annoying, and I don't see how a Xenos innate strength should be changed based on arbitrary limits.

theres also a only if neccesary which could be normal chance. Ayyliens have not enough strategy, they just keep going till they win, unless queen dies early. Give queen something to earlier time beside just shittin out eggs, see what queens are really competent, etc.

I mean, we can implement the ability for Queens to provide a selected xeno the ability to speak to hosts or have perfect understanding of English because physhic mind powers.

Wasn't there a time when the Queen could psychic speak to hosts? That's some good rp potential there, let's get that back.

-1. Queens aren't competent enough already, giving them something else to manage is just handicapping xenos with baldie queens even harder.

Toroic is right. This is too much to manage, and it will just lead to stupid xeno deaths. I have some other ideas on how to deal with tackle combat. Denied.
