This is exactly the opposite of how you encourage players to make use of features in the game. And I for one have seen the researchers use the guts.

I don't see a reason to gut xeno corpses. That seems like something the xeno queen would have no reason to do, even in intimidation tactics. The queen already has full control of the hive and can order them around with absolute authority. Denied.
