Flare gun

Post by adamkad2 » 09 Mar 2017, 12:36

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Add flaregun to engineers or leaders

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):People getting more flares than just 2 boxes, overally better illumination. and faster. still pretty much same range as tossing tho, just a bit faster due to loading more than 1 flare

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):Flare gun should be a gun for ranged distribution of flares, to lit up the night without constantly drawing them out of box and igniting them. 3 shots before reload maybe.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Janina 'Bullseye' Jardine- Never misses, but what she DOES hit is another thing

This place would be so much better if marines were replaced with cyborgs, atleast those would follow orders. assuming there was a rule forcing them to do so...

I feel like there should be maybe 3 of these or so laying around on the map with one shot each. Like on the crashed shuttle. I feel like it would be to excessive otherwise.

This would be neat... BUT you cant shoot into a dark area anyway. So this couldn't be used effectively. Besides you can throw flares the same distance anyway.

Flare guns actually already exist in the code, and are one shot. Load in flare, fire flare gun, it shoots out a lit flare. However as stated it's kind of pointless when just throwing them will do the job just as well.

It's neat in concept though.
