Remove acid blood

Post by ExGame » 09 Mar 2017, 14:41

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): I really can't stand the acid blood. It practically punishes Marines for being good and hitting aliens at point-blank while compensating aliens for being bad and letting marines get to them at point-blank range and hitting them. Buckshot shotgun/slashing a crusher is getting less viable to it since when you manage to hit a xenomorph with it you just end up getting splattered with acid then limp around with red/crit condition because burn damage deals way more pain than brute. Why did it get added in the first place?

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Not punish marines for being good. I mean, that is a pretty stupid mechanic if I have to be honest.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
William Frost - An old guard USCM Officer
- "The easy way generally gets you killed."

Wolf Anderson - Eccentric NCO
- "When it's clicking like that you need to reload!"

They're supposed to have acidic blood in the lore aswell, which makes CQC a last resort.

...You realize this doesn't make sense right? Blood has to splatter somewhere and if your gonna shoot something pointblank its a risk most are willing to take.
This is probably a salt thread cause he went into crit from burns.

Yeaaaah I mean if you think about it the devs even went easy with the blood, they could leave piles of acidic blood behind or melt your armor. Kinda be happy it's only point blank damage.

Say what you will but it's entirely fortunate that xenos' blood don't fly farther than one tile to ruin someone's day.
Troublesome, as usual.
