Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Per title. For every upgrade, aliens' sprites show an increase in dermal plating, size, or what makes them stand out.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
-Marines get a bit of an understanding in how xenomorph evolution and lifestyle functions.
-Xenomorphs look more badass as their handing the Marines their asses.
-Presents a visual example of progress and another reward to upgraded aliens
-Xenomorphs know which player is upgraded and who isn't.
-Aliens truly appear to be more dangerous.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Simply out, as a xenomorph upgrades and becomes stronger, their sprite has a visual marker in either what makes them unique as a caste or just more dermal plates. Hunters, for example, lose some of their orange coloring on the chest switching it out for a what is essentially a shrunken version of the orange plating. As it hits Elite, the headcrest also loses some orange aswell, at Ancient, the Hunter has some resemblance to a Young Crusher, showing a heavily armored and more stealthy appearance.
Hivelords gain more dermal plates on their carapace with each upgrade, and Carriers receive a mixture of more armor, more dorsal spikes, and longer arms (they have long arms).
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Changes to variables in the upgrade system that also implement a helluva lot of sprites. May god have mercy on you spriters

Sprite Progression [Xenomorph, Upgrade]
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Re: Sprite Progression [Xenomorph, Upgrade]
This would take a LOT of work.
You have to sprite this for EVERYTHING, including critical sprite, resting sprite, all four directions, etc.

Re: Sprite Progression [Xenomorph, Upgrade]
This suggestion would only work for Ancient caste's.
So if you reach Ancient, you get a different look, proving how badass you are with a badass sprite.
And for Empress.
But thats it; anything more and you'd overload the spriters work.

+1
I've spoken about this before and I think the idea is great in theory, however as previously mentioned in the thread this would be an ungodly amount of work for our sprite makers. This suggestion will most likely be denied for that reason however I think that if the work load ever cools for a bit a change like this would be a great addition.

Re: Sprite Progression [Xenomorph, Upgrade]
Ancient queens have bone-white exoskeleton and are larger than every xeno. This would be cool and nice to see, but a pain for das spriters who are slaving for the 20th update.
Don't turn around

Denied. I don't think it's feasible right now.
