Survivor Group event.

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Instead of the usual 3 survivors a group of 6-10 survivors and Colonial Marshals would be spawned. Some with firearms and something to stop one Face hug (at least with the current state of hugger combat)

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Fun little event for the marines to stumble across.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Same as how the survivors work now but instead of being spread out they might spawn in groups of three each with one Marshall who starts with either a shotgun or spearhead.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): No idea. I bet it wouldn't be that hard tho.

+1,If they all go hostile survivor,marines will need to deal with a bigger problem.
I play Sydney 'Lilly' Wood, the totally not depressed doctor, And the marine Dylan Bell, that probably joined the USCM by accident.

Alright but that's taking like, 7 potential players off the marine team. Also, ten whole survivors can do some serious damage to the aliens if they band together. If anything, I suggest that it scales based on the xeno pop.

The scaling with Xeno pop is a great idea. Its a great way to balance. This sprouted when someone made a suggestion after like 3 Marine wins something happens to fuck with the Marines.

Honestly i thought about this, and the only way this could work would be if you had some selfish/rouge elements(hidden antags?) that the group would have to overcome. Otherwise, its just 10 civilians camping a dome for 25 minutes, or worse, 10 civilians kneecapping the aliens for 25 minutes

1+ survivors spawn the get hugged with this suggestion they will have a chance to survive.

I really don't see this happening, we do events as a "in the moment" situation. We don't plan them, mostly.

Also, only headstaff run events.

Probably would be more balanced if one or two of the Survivors were hidden antags (Crazy, works for WY or is some other way self destructive to the Survivor force or Marine force.)

Could work on a High pop game, marines take longer to deploy anyway so the survivors could actually keep the Xeno's busy and maybe even give them a challenge +1

or how about just scale survivor to population, 120 players, maybe 6-7 survivors.
Cut them xenos up with yer machete! :D

I am actually -1 on this only because having a bunch of survivors is just gonna cause a murdering spree of aliens while they just try to find farwa and monkies. With that potential for survivors you could just run around in a group shooting all the little creatures to death happy in knowing you have royally screwed over the alien players by taking up to 10-20 potential aliens away. The idea of having a few traitors in there would make it really fun and potentially not completely one sided, but this kinda thing is something I think staff should really be in charge of as it has the potential to really get out of hand and be overpowering.
