Update B18 Armor, Spec Locks

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):

Update the B18 armor for specs to appear visually like it needs training to use. This will prevent it from being picked up by anyone under the rank of specialist- also add a rank ID lock to spec firearms so that only spec and above may use these weapons.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):

Prevents metagaming by accident, leaving only a very well RP'd promotion, or a very intentional metagamer

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):


Prevents metagaming confusion- by visually making the armor more 'advanced' and locking weapons- people wount be able to use the gear they pick up. This will also prevent ranking officers from assigning them to lower units because they cant use it without a ranking ID above spec. :thumbup:

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
not sure how lock coding works- but the sprite work seems an easy enough fix

+1 Sure. Standards asking me for my 2nd sniper rifle gets pretty annoying, and it makes me getting defibbed a true torture as ANYONE CAN PICK THEM UP AND USE THEM. The smartgun has bit of a lock to it, but all you have to do is remove the armor and sight, and you're good to go.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. How would you make armor look like it needs training to equip? it looks big enough on the sprite to show it needs quite the strength to even pick up and run in it, but how else would you show this?

Ehh... I dunno. I mean anyone can pick up a gun and fire in any random direction. Partial +1, if people were allowed to pick up the sniper but not reload it, basically fire until it was empty and the spec having the rest of the ammo.

probably some kind of panel showing the complexity of even putting on the armor

Just have the armor straps locked when the armor is ID locked. It already fits a dispenser in there.

One option would make it similar to baystation hardsuits, only downside you will have to do hardsuit removal surgery to dehib this spec.

either of those work actually- I personally like the idea of it binding to the skin and requiring assistance to remove, especially if it needs an ID to work.
