Squad Surplus Gear Vendor

Post by McRipfist » 16 Apr 2017, 17:35

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Add a vendor to the end of each prep room with squad specific gear like earpieces and gloves.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
- Less chance of running out of earpieces and gloves. (Currently 25 per squad)

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Add a vendor to the end of each prep room with squad specific gear like earpieces and gloves.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Mapping and coding I presume.

This, or add a vendor that gives encryption keys for their respective squad, so Generic head sets can be used. Which ever is the least difficult from the Dev's angle.
LCpl. Raul Garrison: That nobody with a gun
Dr. Arthur Bennet: The guy you plead to fix you
Lt. Elizabeth Owens: The lady who won't stop badgering.

this does become a problem later on in matches where a lot of fresh marines wake up and suddenly they are without headsets for their squads.

Gloves aren't as important, though... I think. It isn't uncommon for marines to forgo gloves altogether, really, so they aren't that important compared to gloves. Maybe instead we should program gloves to behave like armor, where they change color depending on the squad.. But then again, that is just me.

No no no! When I do MP word, the fibers and ground of gloves matter extensively, without that, I am useless
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

I'll +1 this, but as an idea, to ensure vendors don't get swarmed, swap out the locker room with these vendors, and keep the lockers in the halls, and possibly widen the entrance to the new vendor room.
