+1 Larva is sadly weak as balls, a little love couldn't hurt. ORRR we can do the other suggestion, letting xenos heal via draining plasma.

more escapee larvae able to become a real xeno would also mean more badly needed shipboard excitement

Normally I just don't vote on xeno buffs because I'd rather just give them all a minus so no xeno buffs. But this is actually smart and can make for a lot more ship side fun before the big ol xeno fun train roles in.

So +1 to a slow heal for larva even if they don't have any weeds around.

"innate" as in they don't need to be on weeds. The idea for this suggestion was that basically if you so much as throw a pen at a larva they can no longer evolve if they manage to hide somewhere on the sulaco. Yay, they escaped and the crew can't find them! But now they're a complete non-threat because they can't evolve; might as well just slap a collar on it and call it the CO's pet. Someone suggested just removing the need to be at full health to evolve as a larva, I like that if larva can't be granted a weed-less heal.
