Marine lights go off when they die

Post by driecg36 » 05 May 2017, 00:37

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Marine lights go off when they die, but as a counterbalance, aliens aren't allowed to do ANYTHING to corspes anymore. No dragging, no spitting, no queen gibbing. Personally, I'm sick of aliens blatantly preventing revives under the pretext of removing lights. This solves the probelm for both sides.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Aliens no longer need to worry about the lights of dead marines, marines no longer need to worry about aliens being dicks and preventing revives at all costs.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Simply make it so that when a marine dies, their suit light turns off. And when aliens try to gib/drag/spit a dead marine, it displays the same message as when they try to slash it.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding.

Alternativly, make it that an Alien can "interact" with a dead Human corpse and doing so will destroy the armour light akin to slashing a Floodlight.

One of the things I was aiming for is for aliens to not interact with corpses at all, ideally.

Just let them slash the armor light of a dead marine by simply clicking on his corpse with harm intent on.

To be entirely honest, as a Xeno, the main reason I drag off corpses is because of the armor light, nothing to due with them getting revived or not, I just hate the light they make.

Anyways I like lights remaining on though, as it allows you to easily find dead bodies, and gives marines at least something to see around a death area. Gonna have to go with -1. Not exactly feeling this one myself.

possible solution:

Xenos right clicking a body can *slice* a light, and shuts it off after 2 seconds.
Marines finding body can insert a piece of wire, and then turn the light on. Everyone wins now.

No more marines tossing out bodyarmor with lights to act as flashlights, marines still have the ability to use them as semi-flashlights.

...

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!

~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

-1 If it ain't broke don't fix it
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

No IC reason lights would turn off on death. Xenos can drag the bodies away if it's an issue. Denied.
