I can confirm this, because, well. I'm the one who took the gif:

Possible steps to reproduce:

Use macro to display knife,
Cable coil it.
Examine.
Might display.

Do the same as above, but attach it to the gun.
Examine.
Might display.

I think it occurs when you show the knife, then cable coil it, then something else is spawned (in your case weeds) and then you click the link. The reference to the item inside the link is outdated since the item has been deleted. The next spawned item takes the reference for itself, thus the bug.

edit: it causes a runtime actually.
