Shooting range on the Almayer

Post by tuzz » 11 May 2017, 17:53

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Add a shooting range aboard the Almayer

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Let bored marines test their weapons without messing up the ship.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
There are plenty of empty areas where it could be added, but perhaps it might be best on a third deck where the noise won't bother the other two decks.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Yes, this way it'll be more ironic when I do target practice on MPS anyways.

+1 As it is, I have to take FNGs planet-side for firearms training rather than instructing them on the Almayer in a safe environment. It's a massive pain in my ass to have to do so.

I'm not sure why we don't already have one, the Sulaco had a shooting range.

There is a ton of room on the almayer I'm sure one RP room could be converted to a range.

Yeah, I was wondering why we don't have shooting range on Almayer. You can't even introduce your friend to CM weapons system other than in a fight where this can be: a) problematic due, you know, bloodthirsty monsters around; b) too late, because your friend accidently alt+clicked his gun and couldn't shoot alien that mauled his ass; c) cause even more FF than usual.

+1 with greytide coming around, people sometimes and will ask on the question of "how do I shoot?"

I think a shooting range would be a great way for baldies to learn. Also good for having fun when bored.

+1, if you got space for a memorial-garden, then you got space for a firing range.

Still +1'ing this. Any level of combat-able base should have a firing range for a variety of reasons, including showing the ropes to rookies.
