slight flare buff

Post by Reuben Owen » 04 Jun 2017, 08:44

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Flares are great. Marines like flares.
When a Marine throws a unlit flare, it should automatically light up. Because really who throws around unlit flares?
Currently you have to click the flare to light it up every time, which is a pain when you want to light up an area quick in combat conditions.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Just makes it easier/quicker to use flares.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Have flare stick in hand. Throw. Is much light. Throw more. More light.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
coding
I play Xeno 99% of the time. All castes.

Start playing on hotkey mode and just press z before tossing it.

Numpad binding if you wish to get around that:
Num0 = Change intent.
Num1 = Throw.
Num3 = Use.
Num7 = Swap hand.
Num9 = Drop item.
CTRL + Click to grab with free hand.
Shift + Click to do a special action / examine (Depends).
NumLock = You're fucked, don't lock your numpad when using it for non-numerical inputs, hah.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Denying. As others have pointed out, there's a hotkey.
