Suggestion Title: More Metal


Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Add more metal to the engineers prep room

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Engineers can build more/ not run out of metal like in 5 minutes.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Metal is helpful for marines for defenses.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Add more metal...

Theres 75 metal in each one, assuming one engineers takes 50 (they always do) theres 25 left for like 3 other people. (depending on the time)

+1 Replace the Plasteel with more metal since I'm unaware of any VIABLE use for plasteel right now unless you shove it in a lathe to convert to metal.

There's a balance concern with this - the presence of too much metal, which in turn could mean too many defenses for aliens to need to get past. I don't know where the line is drawn between too much and too little, so I'll keep an eye here for more feedback. The point about plasteel is a good one, though, since reinforced walls are no longer a thing. Perhaps replacing the plasteel with metal is a good start.

Engineers shouldn't be building that much...

Your job should be, to hack doors, break stuff, and construct minor things. I've seen WAY too much building of giant "Marine Nests", as the only way to describe them.

Break stuff. Isn't that what the guns are for? But I mean you do have a point, it makes it hard to set FoBs up though. Metal goes faster than you would think.. I used to ahem... borrow some from engi but I don't do that anymore.

perhaps replacing the plasteel with metal should be the limit, i mean it'd be one thing if you could at least use it to make R-Tables but ill admit that some fortification setups can be quite ridiculous, and quite frankly we dont always want TOO many tables in any one place anyways preparing for the aliens or not, even now its goddamn impossible to get around engineering if you put too many squads there or the one squad is too big and thats assuming you wrench or move every possible obstruction that isnt contributing to defenses, i dont look forward to trying to get through THAT mess if every square is another table. let alone if you need to bug out in a hurry (say what you will about alien balance, the bugs will never kill us as fast as pressure or fire can)
