Field Reporter/ Something for command staff to do/Event.

Suggestion Title: Either a Field Reporter Or International Space Reporter

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Well as I was having a good old chat with some people who had died in a round we were discussing the possibilities of a Field reporter as a optional job who would report back to the Command staff with a Live video feed from a camera they would hold giving the Command staff a chance to not sit in the bridge and try and collect all the arcade machine toys...

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Would bring new light to dark world of the marines and also the added bonus of Rp with a sprinkle of command staff knowing what the fuck is going on while marines are shouting "THE CRABS, THEY ARE IN THE FUCKING WALLS ARGHHHH" or " HOLY SHIT GODZILLA"

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):It could either work by having a specific squad job as being the " Reporter for command staff or a easier option would be to have squad leader have a camera attached to his armour or helmet which would then broadcast to the command staff the footage.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Well I was trying to choose between adding a entirely new job or have it combined with say a squad leader but I still think the Entirely new job could be nice.


What I imagine this job would entail...

+1. Could act as an event, would allow more RP. Also another goal of the marines is to ensure the reporter is safe. The mission could be just a, "by the books that turns to shit" mission.

ill admit, it would help the command staff alot in coordinating the marine forces if they had a means of seeing what the marines see, they could coordinate the marine forces alot more, as is suit sensors do exactly NOTHING since the consoles only tell you how to find people if they're on the same Z-level so the command staff cant even help THAT much.

activity on the sulaco is being removed pretty constantly with nothing to replace it, borgs and mechs? research? both are slated to be removed and if certain admins are online you can be punished for it even now, if im made to be LO once i finish assigning the early marines i just have to wait until someone shouts "THEY CAN TRAVEL THROUGH VENTS" so i can run welding everything, i suppose i could gather all the metal and tables and shit so that when it IS time to fortify the sulaco everything is prepared but alot of admins will consider that to be meta and tell you to stop, in which case you may as well log out because theres nothing left.

at least this way the moment the assigning is done i can just change myself to the field reporter and go in, even as a noncombatant im sure i could find SOMETHING to do.

I know its off topic but removing mechs and research just makes it even harder of sulaco personell to do anything but sit around twiddling their thumbs. Leave in robotics and research, its not like they can make anything super effective without advanced materials but it at least gives sulaco personell something to do.

+1 It would add a lot of rp and command could watch what the marines are doing. I think it should be a new job. Of course cameramen would be really vulnerable targets as they couldn't shoot while holding a camera so it could be... attached to them? Like Gopro, on a helmet, y'know?

Traveling\Supply and various addictions are being currently added to the Sulaco.
Thats the other reason why research and robotics is being removed.

Sulaco will act far more as a mobile heavy-fortress, whit command capacity , rather than a starting-spawning point.
