Make Smartdiscs out of acid-resistant alloy

Post by Nick123q23 » 16 Jul 2017, 09:22

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): So, a predator is running around, using a smartdisc to cause mass chaos, well, about as much chaos as it can do, anyway.

Xenos that are smarter than the Dumbdisc have the idea to melt the disc in a pile of acid, so that annoying flying sawblade will never trouble them again.

A long and difficult fight later, the Predator scares the xenos off, sneakily grabs the smart disc, or just calls the smartdisc back while it decapitates some unfortunate runner in the middle.(read: flies over the runner harmlessly)

The predator is happy, the Smartdisc is still in play to continue to cause mass mayhem aslong as the predator is alive.

But, oh no! A few minutes later, the predator checks their hunting bag to find that the smart disc has mysteriously dissapeared! The Smartdisc is out of play forever, never to annoy people ever again.

I asked around and found out that this was because any object that has acid applied to it WILL melt, even when removed from the acid, which is kind of silly.

The Yautja, being an overpowered and over-prepared people would have anticipated this, and made the Smartdiscs out of an acid-resistant alloy.

So really, I'm asking for the Smartdiscs to be un-acidable.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Allows Smartdiscs to continue ruining people's existences with their tyrannical spinning.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Make Smartdiscs unable to be acidable by any sort of acid.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Probably change a single line of code I'd bet.

Well it'd definitely make sense. They're certainly shown to do quite a bit of damage to xenos without succumbing to acid in the lore.

And it's not as though it'd instantly make them overpowered either. So +1.

Makes sense lore wise that pred stuff would be acid resistant. +1 anything to buff preds in some way.
