The C801 EMP!
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): After a few day of playing both Marines and Xenomorphs it seem like the marines almost rarely pick up the win, either because of retarted marines or~ the xeno flank is to overpowered. But its not because they repopulate at a quick pace but becaue of that one annoying xeno that manage to create the opening the xenos need in order to seize the W. Now I could see how this was probably added in to balance out the game but its becaue of the queens screech why 8/10 xenomorph have secured the W . Which is why I came up with the idea of the C801P EMP
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): The C301 EMP will be used to give the marines a fighting chance so atleast the xenomorph victory rate goes from 80% W rate to atleast a balanced 50 %.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): The C801P EMP will work kind of like a keep away for the queen, because of her enhanced telepathical abilities, she will be the most affected by the EMP, the EMP rekts her nerve cause her discomfort the closure she gets, as the EMP is active no matter where the queen is she'll receive a message alerting her that she feels a disturbance..hinting that the EMP has been deployed. With the EMP activated the Queen cannot come to close or she will KO herself. Only normal caste xenos may approach the EMP and destroy it, further no more than one EMP can be active at a time, and cannot be moved once placed down and activated.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Naturally, only SL's are given access to the C801 EMP, each SL gets one in their vendor. This will stop the screeching problem, giving the marines a fair fighting chance and atleast keep the game going long enough to see a few ancient t3s.
This isn't the final product of the C801 EMP If possible provide insight if you think theirs some changes to be made.

You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

You should have called it a 'research experiment' (that the researcher makes), now your suggestion is going to get auto-denied.Fourth Gear wrote:Uh yes, kinda like the beacons

Re: The C801 EMP!
Omg well if you could add in something called the 'Crossman Cannon', that would be bad ass! It's like the pneumatic cannon in vanillia SS13, but instead of loading objects, you load R E S P E C T into it. It instantly KO's all female characters to include xenos since they're technechly females too.SecretStamos (Joshuu) wrote:
What kind of weapon would you like me to add, Biolock?
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Re: The C801 EMP!
This reminds me of an older idea of there being a sort of Psychic/EMP Beacon that could be placed that, if activated after a charge up time, would pacify the Xenomorphs on the planet.
I think it was suggested as an alternative Marine victory condition for stalemates or something.
Might be amusing as a admin event/late game RnD item to secure the planet.

This isn't a new gun, this is just a item I though of to aid the marines, seeing how they really need the help.Trench007 wrote:You should have called it a 'research experiment' (that the researcher makes), now your suggestion is going to get auto-denied.

Re: The C801 EMP!
If your saying Xenomorphs were ment to always win then we have different ways of seeing things; But if you mean that its suppose to be a challenge for the marines, then why not give them a fighting chance, right now they barely last long enough for a t3 xeno to reach its final upgrade.Steven Sneider wrote:It was never meant to be 50%.

Re: The C801 EMP!
ehhhh, i am not too sure on the complete utility of this
while the queen can be very dangerous when she aids with screeches, that is also the marine team's best moment to bombard her with grenades and try to take her out. with this, all you would be doing is forcing the queen to play defensively and keep herself safe.
i would suggest that you change this perhaps to be a device that jams hivemind communication in a wide radius, a psi disruptor. then, it does not KO anyone so it does not offend by being a powerful "weapon" and is much more clearly a "tool"
and it can give marines headaches too
besides, a LOT of marine equipment is electronics based too! deploying an EMP would be a terrible idea, youd be breaking your own stuff!

Re: The C801 EMP!
Denied.
This technically falls under new weapons and the win rate is exactly where we want it right now.
