Maybe.

I'll try and think of a new way to map the area out. Maybe, I'll just shrink the front of the ship into a wedget, with security to the north, and medical to the south.

We have two empty rooms right? One for melee combat,another for ranged combat. Having virtual knifes would be nice.

holo knifes (or plastic knifes) and holo throwing knifes (or plastic bla bla)

on the other room:

laser tag gun,or if coders wants to make something different,holo guns. (holo m4,holo smg,holo...)

Heeyyy if we do this we can host noob training events. But make holo damage resistance armor for the commander and MPs. So they can train without being mobbed by news with laser guns

We had a training event once with tasers and stuff it was ok.. but teams decided to try and cheat etc..

If you ignored the uys who were cheating and stuff it was a pretty fun event.. not exactly training but it did the job.

we could place the bluespace artillery gun to this rooms. Doesn't need to be operational but it will make sense for a military ship to have one.

Ehm...no? Training is useful for something,and its also supposed to be in military ships.

you could have training while there is no mission underway, but in our case we are sent to fight aliens after we wake up

Use the target stands and targets from vanilla, you can move them around and place up walls or whatever to make a kill house for marines.

The targets aren't exactly a challenge though, that is why i prefer the idea of marine vs marine laser tag or something like that.

Yep,I prefer marine vs marine too. Also it gives something to do for the MPs,LOs and even commander.

i like the idea of a prisoner courtyard but.. i feel like if we had a prisoner courtyard the rest of the Mp stuff would have to be done up as well( Also the fact that not many people actually get arrested), also the fact that it would be more educating to have a laser tag area... to duel and test your skills against others on the sulaco.

Have them for live fire kill house style training, but also have laser tag for interactive combat training

Apop, training bay/ firing range with actual rooms that have doors that can be opened. I did make a training course for marines using the Thunderdome and made a test-run. It was perfect. Now, we can replace them with a laser tag room, max of 5 players. And the map/area will be hologram powered. With three different layouts. There will be walls, etc. etc. Tables that are already flipped? *Is this possible?*
One room down.

Second vacant room, would be a supply room different from the Supply Room where the Armor and Squad Crates are. This can be a functioning mini-shuttle room which can be used by admins with verbs that have like :
-Send Armor Crate
-Send Headset Crate
etc.etc. for the marines and the shuttle will have five minutes at most to arrive or some sort. Two minutes to stay and then it automatically leaves. The marines will have to request this via console inside the room and the request will be like how they send a message to Central Command.

Third room, Function Hall. Arcades, etc. etc. Anything to keep these marines happy.

Heck yeah. A laser tag zone would do both of those things, though if laser tag is a thing then laser MG's should hopefully also be a thing

I think you're all missing a serious issue with adding laser tag, or practice stuff etc.

We already have a big enough issue with Marines going rambo, ignoring orders, getting lost.

This will only cause even more chaos when you have Jon and Bob in laser tag while Sulaco is being overrun by aliens.

For what it adds and what chaos it will cause.. it isn't worth it.

I think it's worth a try. I mean, after a survivor is rescued, what else is there to do for a rescued survivor other than be a marine?
