Import Paradise / tg vent crawling.
Summary: Import Paradise / tg vent crawling.
Benefits : Aliens no longer teleport across the station, required to navigate piping to go places and vent sounds warn marines of aliens in the vents.
Details: If you aren't aware, /tg/ station (and Paradise, who gets much of their code from /tg/ these days) have changed their vent crawling mechanic to work similar to how disposal mail works. When a Xenomorph (or Diona Nymph or any other vent crawling mob) vent crawls, they no longer pick a destination and teleport instantly to the destination. Climbing into the vent, all of the supply/air pipes are brought to the foreground in your field of view, and you must manually dictate which way you go, literally crawling through the pipes. Entering the same tile as a vent or outlet pushes the vent crawling mob to the surface and exposes them, but this allows aliens to lay in wait and see whats on the other end of the vent BEFORE entering the room. Moving through the vent makes clanking noises that would alert Marines of passing aliens, and because it takes time to crawl the vents, devouring a marine and running into the vents may not be the fastest way to get to the hive and give the marine a chance to overcome the stun and even escape if the alien doesn't know the vent system that well, or it's been damaged.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coders would need to get permission from Para or /tg/ maintainers to port over, or have to rebuild the code from scratch to suit our needs. I suggest the former, as the /tg/ staff seems willing to share and help implement their code onto other servers. Taking their Atmos system might work better too, as our seems mysteriously broken. I brought the new system to Felkvir's attention, he may be able to add more ideas or opinions on how the system would work better for Colonial Marines than the current vent crawling one.

Good but one thing. Make the vents be 40% visible and still be able to see the station.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. In their system, you can see everything around you like normal for your lighting conditions. Since Aliens get thermal, they'd be able to see the marines on their screen regardless, so they'd know if a room was empty or not before walking in.

All of the issues that would be born while implementing it would be WORTH IT +1.

+1 this sounds great. No more instantly teleporting across the station from end to end. Not to mention the clanking sounds of aliens in the vents would be really creepy and improve the atmosphere (atmos pun not intended) of being on a station infested with Xeno's.

We can't use this.
