Bug Description:
There is generally no moderators on the server, leaving people with a lot of opportunities to grief, which they use. often.

I dont like this idea, if someone doesnt like a certain player then they could make up a lie saying something that the player they dont like greifed and then they start the vote ban and boom, the player is banned gor the round and his round is ruined and also his reputation is too. Lets just stick with the player reports.

Gonna have to agree with ghost on the fact that this can be abused...also isn't this the reason we have player reports.... For when a admin/mod is offline.....

It's kind of shitty when someone grabs gear from the armoury, and goes on a killing spree before anyones even left the station, and no admins are online to deal with it.

Ideally, you need a rather large number of votes to ban a person, you could have the default vote to "dont ban" and then you would need 50% of the server or more to vote for a roundban. It can only be abused if everyone abuses it.

Although saying you need a large number of votes to ban someone is good and all, in most cases, when theres a large enough number of players on it means its during peak time and the chances are, there is likely going to be an admin on.

The way to go must be to implement some form of short term average joe ban system. Like an hour even for when admins are not online. Saying that people can abuse it is absurd. I believe it could be used for better than for worse most of the time. Acting on the pretense that people might abuse it is silly. If this weren't to be implemented then a longer and more unforgiving ban sentence must be implemented for those sorry saps that spend their own free time making these reports just because the administration force is lacking. One of the two would be ideal.
