Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Remove the code that makes weapons that deal burn damage do double damage to aliens.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Considering the recent addition of functional flamethrowers, which if I'm not mistaken was the reason this was added, I think this might be able to be removed. Also it would make laser weapons not be incredibly powerful.

Simply remove the double burn damage aliens receive.

Double burn damage always existed,so if apop\the team do this...it may take some time

Double is an overkill, but still, there was a part about aliens burning more easily and their tissue turning explosive when exposed to lasers...
I don't know it would be possible to code, but since aliums are far faster than humans - even drones - they should have a tiny time window to walk over fires without receiving damage. That's why flamethrower users would have to spray more fuel than just one-tile wide strip... that even a human could jump through without getting damaged too much...
And about flamethrowers used in hives, where you can't just walk over to the marines because you're sieged - that's the point of flamethrowers. There IS an unwelded vent somewhere, and I'm yet to see marines cutting air pipes. You're always able to attack the one with the flamethrower from the back.

@coloneljones I.. coulda sworn double burn damage was added specifically to try and make the flamethrower useful. I didn't know it has always been in the code. Huh. Interesting.

It is easy to adjust the damage, it is just one line of code.
