Killswitch for the queen
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Give the queen way to remotely kill or even lockdown her subordinates.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Ingame mechanic that supports rule about absolute obedience of xenomorphs to their queen.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Give the queen access to some kind of remote lockdown/killing targeting her subjects, like robotics console works. This way, queen have own means to uphold her power, I've seen many xenomorphs ignoring queen, biting her, or pushing to death, or being a general annoyance and hive's boss couldn't really do anything besides ahelp. With that tool in her hands, queen will be able to easily enforce will at the hive members, and maybe easily dispose of braindead aliens taking up psychic power. Grief can obviously appear, but I think it would rarely appear, because it is against everything that queen does (eggs, impregnating, taking care of hosts) and because killing all subordinates would just cause queen's faster defeat and faster new round.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
I don't know, buttons for the queen showing at hivemind? Use robotics console as base?

+1, just needs refining to prevent troll-queen nuking the whole hive.
Lockie 'Furry' Hughes, your local source of annoyance, medicine and Will. E. Coyote engineering. Mostly medicine. Maybe annoyance.

Re: Killswitch for the queen
+1 +1 +1. Pain, lockdown and kill to misbehaving Xenos would be a god send. Ignore the queen's orders, get a pain spike that takes 25% of your current health and gives you a message that Queen is unhappy with your disobedience. Continue, she can remotely stun you, causing you to cease your function and force to sleep for 10 seconds. An in extreme cases, the queen could simply kill you. The entire Hive should know everytime the Queen uses these ablities, and if there is reason to suspect it being abused or used in greifing, it can be ahelped or player complaint submitted to get them xenobanned.
Ahelping it isn't garunteed to fix it, and the rules specifically state the queen is allowed to kill anyone she wants, at any time. If the queen is choosing to kill her daughters, it's her choice. If the lockdown/killswitch gets abused, player complaint it.

+1, though I'd like to see it work more like the agonizing pain that a cortical borer can cause.

+1.Good thing this is already coded: facehugged marines cannot be attacked by aliens. It just needs to be expanded.

If you would permaban a player, you owe it to him to look into his logs and hear his side of the story. And if you cannot bear to do that, then perhaps the player does not deserve to be banned.

I'm going to say, this sounds like a bad idea. I gladly serve the queen, but I do not seek to be a hostage to her will.
It leaves way too much room for abuse, please no.
___
I'd like to propose an alternative - a possibility to remotely knock out her subordinates. Said alien would still be able to talk in the hivemind, but its body would be asleep - think of it as a telepathic suppression. Queen could reawaken said alien at any moment - it would be immobilized until then.

I think what Sligneris means is that he doesn't want a sword of Damocles hanging over his head, coming down on any moment for the slightest of fuckups.

What queen would kill a valuable member of the hive for slight fuckup?

Well, we are on the internet. And SS13 isn't exactly known for being the most reasonable place ever.

+1 only for the killing of mindlesses to free up psychic power, otherwise it seems a bit troll-friendly
