Janitor and Psychologist
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Add a Janitor and Psychologist button into LO assignment machine.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Wouldn't confuse new LO's on how to implement them, would also make more sense thematically because they have rooms, but not job slots.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Basically just throw them both (and any other roles people play that aren't listed) into the LO machine. I feel that it's kind of dumb that they aren't already in there (unless there's a specific reason for it that I don't know). This would help a new LO whenever someone ask for the roles and would save admins the trouble of having to be Ahelped whenever they're about to be created.

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
I can understand the janitor button being there for when you demote someone but i mean the psychologist doesn't need one as it really isn't much of a Job on CM because you would only have something to do if A) The survivors survived and were rescued+ them also wanting to Rp it B) a marine sometimes going through the horrors they have seen so...
I'm +1 for janitor button but -1 for the Psychologist button

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
If it's useless then getting rid of the room in general would be the best option. I'm just saying add a button for whatever jobs are around. There's a psychologist room, just like the janitor, so there should be a button in my opinion.Mr. Penguin wrote:I can understand the janitor button being there for when you demote someone but i mean the psychologist doesn't need one as it really isn't much of a Job on CM because you would only have something to do if A) The survivors survived and were rescued+ them also wanting to Rp it B) a marine sometimes going through the horrors they have seen so...

Also a "Sulaco Engineer" might be a nice role to have around too, but I digress.

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
I'd be willing to give a "Chaplain", but not a psychologist, it seems too out of place in a military unit.

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
I'm going to -1 on both Chaplain and Psychologist.
What would they be able to do? We have several people who wants to pick up their gun and shoot... Chaplains and Psychologists wouldn't have the military training. They would be one of the trying to be robust/Rambo player.

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
Janitor, is a DEMOTION ONLY job. In fact, I've debated removing janitor. Typically, in the military, there aren't any. Doing janitorial work, is typically reserved for people who are in trouble (called Extra Duty).

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
It'd be interesting if in that case you could include a button called "Extra Duty" then, as it would fit more with the theme and would make it easier on LO's part.apophis775 wrote:Janitor, is a DEMOTION ONLY job. Re: Janitor and Psychologist
The chaplain, would be a non-combat chaplain, though, for W40k sake, maybe a "warhammer" could be in his office as a useless item...

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
They'd probably have a custom Marine uniform, and no armor. Also, being chaplains, they'd be forbidden from using any weapons.

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
Why not, seems pretty sweet to have a role like that, spice things up a bit.apophis775 wrote:They'd probably have a custom Marine uniform, and no armor. Also, being chaplains, they'd be forbidden from using any weapons.

Re: Janitor and Psychologist
Because, chaplains are forbidden from using weapons, they are non-combatants. Yes, they changed that up for medics, but it's still like that, for chaplains. Typically, IRL, they have a chaplain assistant, who has a weapon and has the job of protecting/defending them.
