-1 we already have enough squads as it is that are never all used. Not to mention the fact that... Echo squad would not really be fit for the Colonial marines....

I still think a whitelisted squad would be good. I personally see CM as a more action focused SS13 server, so having a squad for experienced players (or possibly donaters Eh?) would be great and especially work better when alpha comes around.

I view the Echo/Foxhound squads to be like "I know these are my finest soldiers" type of thing. You know they can perform, you send them in when an objective is critical.

i'm gonna agree with butter on the fact that people shouldn't want to donate because of this.. they should want to donate because they like playing here.. so if it is white listed make it like trial periods or what not.. just don't make it only donors.

I wasn't saying make it only open to doners, just make it so doners are maybe auto whitelisted (unless obviously unskilled), this way they'll have more incentive to donate.

Honestly, we need to keep this applied to players whom are skilled in roleplay and at least semi-robust, unlike Sanctum, which legitimately just scoops up the Sulaco's One-Man-Army marines. Unknown has the best ideas for criteria and most likely even Echo Squad's personnel, so there isn't much I can say here aside from donations being automatically whitelisted being a bit of a no-go.

Hell, I know a lot of players who wants to do it role play. I'll think up more requirements. However, it's unlikely this will be included in a new squad or a existing squad.

No.

for a number of reasons:

1. Platoons have 4 squads (well, technically 5, but the 5th is a command squad, which for us, is the non-marine crew of the sulaco)
2. We already have a locker area designed
3. This seems like a "speshul Snewflake" squad
4. What if there's very few people online, and the "special" squad, only gets 1 or 2 people?
5. The new system, automatically fills the squads on spawn.
