The L6 SAW has outlived it's welcome. It's time to take a prototype M41A variant, and deploy it in the field, or at least test it with the Marines of the NMV Sulaco. Replacing the L6, would be the M41AE2 Heavy Pulse Rifle.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
The Marines would lose the slow-firing, chunky L6 SAW, in favour of a weapon better built for the Colonial Marines universe, and make an interesting challenge for Aliens to tackle.

The M41AE2 would have the following general statistics, or alternates as decided by Apop/developers.
The weapon would be in an equal weight class to the L6 SAW, carry a higher magazine capacity (100 round box mags, aka 2x the L6 SAW's), and alternatively have lower damage than the M39 SMG, but a slightly increased firerate. It wouldn't be able to do much damage when fired in single shots, but it would fire much quicker to apply additional damage. It would be a suppressive weapon - no alien would probably want to get hit head on with it either way - and an alternative tackle to the HMG nests.
