No, it's not my 'only argument'. The point of bringing that up is that there's plenty of stuff which goes on which is apparently permitted and accepted that is far more immersion breaking and markedly less faithful to the canon, and is actually very common. Aliens stripping marines and taking away their weapons, and stuffing dropped marine gear into lockers for example is extremely common place.

Also, yes, the disposal traps are effectively instagibs; they're inescapable perpetual motion machines that inflict arbitrarily high amounts of brute damage once entered.

I've been in one of those traps, and they didn't gib me .. Whatever you say though.

Stripping has already been dealt with codewise. And the second you mentioned i've never seen. If you see that stuff you report it..

There are lorebreaking issues, yes. Why is it relevant to then add something 'less' unlorefriendly? Your suggestion isn't super off-canon it's just unecessary atm.

I did admin help it, and OOCed about it; nothing was done, so I assumed aliens lockering shit was allowed.

And if a disposal trap is done properly it shouldn't be possible to escape and survive short of some _very_ timely intervention where the pipe loop is destroyed.

As for unnecessary, I don't know about that; Marines being able to use synaptizine grenades safely and the like would be a pretty big plus. Granted in the alpha the planet atmosphere is apparently breathable.

Just gonna put this out here before you know arguments turn into more then that...

The server isn't strictly by canon, yes some parts are, but the majority aren't so that it keeps balance in actual rounds that's why the server can never really be fully canon.

Back on topic.

Josh's gas mask is a lot nicer than the breather mask in game.

Can we all agree that marines often shove on the generic breather mask that comes with them when they spawn in?

Can we also agree that simply replacing Josh's mask with the basic one where given on spawn in is a lot nicer and more fitting than the white nose piece looking one?

All I'm suggestion is simply replacing those two icons and giving people the CHOICE of wearing them or not, thats it.

We actually are supposed to closely follow Aliens lore, it's just that we've had a very hard time actually accomplishing it. But MOST of it is here.
