CM Version (alpha or Regular):
[ ALPHA ] and [ REGULAR ]
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
The fact that you can't carry much ammunition as a Medic, when you will often have to join the firefights when a marine is incapacitated and you're withdrawing them, really disrupts the reputation of a Combat Medic. You're expected to have the equipment on hand to help your fellow marines, but at the same time, you lack ammunition for your weapon. As such a small change, this can work very well for CM-REG and CM-ALPHA.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
When a marine is incapacitated, and a medic is stuck carrying a one-handed weapon to apply treatment, such as the M39 or the M4A3, they are significantly weakened due to the projectile's force value, and would quickly run out of ammunition and be overrun. This would be a Marine benefit, compared to an Alien benefit, if the medics were given a five-slot webbing to go underneath the M3 armour.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
A medic wouldn't have to go through the fiery hell of not having space for ammunition, and be quickly overwhelmed by all the things in the world that want to stick facehuggers on you, or run you down with a plasma caster and behead you.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Add a Black Webbing Vest to the Medical Vendor in a quantity of three.

I'm a bit unsure about this, when I do play medic i find it difficult to find space for ammo. But The lack of ammo space is me carrying more medical supplies that can be used to heal marines, its a bit of a trade off I feel. Maybe if it was a one or two slot it would be okayish but there are already slots in the armor you can put ammo or sidearms and such.

A two-slot webbing wouldn't be out of the question, but that's the burden of being a medic. You have to find balance between field kits and ammo.

I can balance the ammo and medical shit as a combat medic.
But for those people who want to be field medics sure.

You are also able to spawn in with webbings. However, we currently have a lack of backpacks when spawning in, and the custom loadout thing doesn't know what to do. I am unsure if we are supposed to not spawn with backpacks, or if we are and it is just broken.

I always find a balance. I'm good if i can manage to get 4 pieces of ammo. If I can only get two that is fine too. Because i find way's to work with two handed's. You just gotta try and not be the Rambo hero. As long as you stay with your guys and in the middle surrounded by them Instead of on the first line.. You should be completely fine.. I see no real purpose for this.

This is why this won't happen. We won't have Medics able to carry the same amount of ammo as a standard marine.Pillow wrote:I'm a bit unsure about this, when I do play medic i find it difficult to find space for ammo.
