Even at endgame, I still saw Xenos attempting to infect and nest first, except for the ravagers which just went aggressive alone and died, but they weren't the best players, and more importantly ravagers in lore are not really about infesting.

Perfect example: I had a guy infected, and nested, and then snuck up behind the group with a shotgun. I ripped his head off, because I'm not dealing with that nonsense. We had a few pops while assaulting the shuttle, but most were planetside, and like 25% were SSD.

If you're in a secure base and we can keep all the major weapons from a marine, I'm inclined to just re-nest them as needed. But if you fight back with a weapon and especially explosives, you're not going to be treated well.

The lack of people willing to play xenos can be a real problem, and I get tired of people who complain in LOOC that you as an alien, killed them as a marine while they tried their best to kill them.

One round in particular the marine push got to the middle of the hive. Xenos captured three, but I ran out of huggers as the queen and killed the fourth who was not face-hugged. He complained in LOOC that I should be job-banned from queen. Out of those three two committed suicide later when left alone for a bit which makes sense IC but is also very frustrating to xenos and leads to really restrictive checkerboard nesting. I think the population of xenos that entire round stayed around 8-10 out of 40-50 even as we boarded the Sulaco and repelled marine pushes, infected, and counter-pushed.

I'm all for more numerous, weaker xenos so that marines can get their murderbone on, but with the current situation I just don't see that happening.

I had a round as a Ravager where I single handed took out 15+ Marines and captured like three of them, saving the new Queen and maximizing the Hive. If you know how to play the hit and run tactic, sometimes one Xeno is devastating. This isn't always for T3's, but if you can use weeds correctly you have a high percent chance of victory.

I think that after 10 minutes you should be allowed to spawn within the Hive and literally on the Queen, as a Drone so it's still fair for the Marines. Also allowing more Xenos to the game to create a more immersive and life threatening threat. Maybe a spawn point on the Queen in general? I mean we're sending an entire Platoon practically to fight 8-10 aliens, it'd be a lot more terrifying with 20 aliens.

Issue is people don't want to play xeno. I only capture if it is convient really. Usually their are like 20 monkeys waiting to burst anyways. So if i can capture you i will if not im not letting you walk away.

Is this still necessary, after the recent balances/adjustments and such?

I feel like with tail whip and such it's probably unnecessary...
