This was always a thing because thats the main and only way a alien can really stop the SUPER META DEFENSE that comes from these given how long they can take to set up you really should not have time to get these ordered or to get these set up by the time aliens arrive to the Sulaco anyway.

I had a round where they were pinned down stairs and was ordered to setup a pair near the shuttle so we might be able to escape.SASoperative wrote:This was always a thing because thats the main and only way a alien can really stop the SUPER META DEFENSE that comes from these given how long they can take to set up you really should not have time to get these ordered or to get these set up by the time aliens arrive to the Sulaco anyway.
I wouldn't consider that meta if they overran the bottom portion of the ship, and the marines were barely holding them off.

Re: Energy Shield Walls Can Be Melted With Acid
Aliens should be able to _attack_ the energy walls until they dissipate, but not acid them which straight up makes no sense whatsoever, nor does a gap in the field that just remains there and does not regenerate.

You see right in front of you wall of energy. And... It's melting. Fuck physics twice (first - energy wall, second - melting) anyway.

Re: Energy Shield Walls Can Be Melted With Acid
If you think of it the acid might be doing continual damage to the energy shields cohesion and if its there long enough it should make it collapse but it should also regenerate

Re: Energy Shield Walls Can Be Melted With Acid
Acid shouldn't interact at all with the energy shield.

Acid vs raw energy...?
Raw energy should win hands down, acid would just splash off.
