You're in a batch of sticky gunk that might give way to the next solid tug that you can't even really see because your head is caught up in it, too. Nothing logical minded about it.

I have an idea. As an alien ive gotten use to how long it takes for a marine to break out. So i kinda know when to go back and check. Can their be random varience on long it takes to escape. Like how long it takes now Plus or minus 45 seconds. If we add the timer it'll let the marine know and stop xeno's from knowing. Or simply put a little count down timer in status tab. Like free in 50

That's where it would go anyway.

So after having played a bit of this match-up more from both sides, I support a timer or a more vague countdown bar. The reason is that the 'checkerboard' pattern of nest/door/nest/door is the most common setup for xeno nest hives. This coupled with spam tackling means that if you're in the middle of RP'ing your situation to command you can get tackled from the door nearly instantly and get re-nested without the chance to do anything. It's pretty demoralizing and frustrating which is why a lot of people go SSD when nested. I think a vague timer and more variance would be nice to keep the aliens on their toes.

As a marine, checkerboard nesting is annoying. As an alien, it is pretty effective. Also, flashlights are not good weapons to suicide with after losing all your guns and knife to alien tackling you in your checkerboard square prison.

This is still a relevant thing.

+1 for 'You're almost free' message or something along those lines. It gives marines a chance to be prepared when struggling out of nests(which they generally are anyway) but it wouldn't change gameplay/shift balance in any overly noticeable way.
Cohen 'Double-F' Blyant Confirmed Combat Stats:
Intentional marine kills: 0
Friendly-fire kills: 2
Friendly-fire injuries: 9
Total aliens killed: 10
T3s killed: 2
Queens killed: 1
Times infected: Too many to count.
Deaths: See above.
Deaths by friendly-fire: 1

In case you couldn't tell, I'm pretty bad at this.

I'll look into an "your almost free" message.
