End Round Grief

Post by RehabBaron » 07 Aug 2015, 05:12

Just, not have end round grief be against the rules. In my opinion, players need to let go from the round, and start a new one, you can let go of your emersions because it's the end of the round. And really, when people grief, it just drags on the round another five minutes, and truly is a hard thing for admins to deal with.

Pfff, five minutes is good. I remember 20 minutes delay of round end :\

Well, in many servers, End of round grief rule, is good and much easier controlable, case it's more civillian servers. Our server, with so many weapons is less controlable. Or just longer. I agree, end of round grief is stupid, it's really annoyes me. But 10-15 minutes delays is much more annoying. Remove EoG rule, make round end in 25-30 seconds and relax at least in round end, both admins and players.

Yeah, that's one really good reason to keep it as a bannable offense; wasting fuck tons of time/chem dispenser charge/other resources that could be put towards winning the game, instead of outgriefing others in the end. Granted, making a bunch of potassium bombs like this can be useful for the marines, but let's face it, if you've spent a large amount of time hiding the things in lockers and such in anticipation of end round fireworks, chances are they're _not_ going to be used productively.

This actually isnt a terrible idea.. I mean more in the aspect to stop the round delays and decrease Admin issues.

Its more disrupting for EVERYONE to have to wait 10minutes for someone to get banned than it is to have one guy killed at the end of the round.

No, i think it defeats a lot of what we've been trying to work for ... We want an RP-centered environment with action, sure. We didn't make accomodations for people from so many different servers, that's not how we work.. We are nothing like other servers at all. The issue with assholes and idiots slipping in once in a while is understandable, and again, we didn't expect things for this server to hit 80+ people. But i don't think that means we should compromise. I think we should rectify it though, by making end round appear less like a 'You won, go nuts' scenario.

The main reason we have EoG ruling is to stop people from creating a shitton of attack logs when we are trying to investigate something.. so no... that plus felkvirs reasoning -1
