The reason I think that the standard helmet shouldn't be repairable is because it's should be of a lower quality than the camera mounted squad leader helmet. The squad leader helmet is vital to the progression of a match; so being able to repair only that helmet would allow SL's to stay in the fight a bit longer than others because they're generally more important. It's also a hell of a lot harder to get a SL helmet than a standard marine helmet.

Having the standard marine helmets be repairable will literally only lead to annoyance from the aliens PoV. You break off their helmets and they keep putting them back on or repairing them repeatedly. Even if they could only be repaired like once they'll just have another 20 helmets on them like normal simply making the problem worse. Sure it could remove the need to have like 20 helmets at once, but it will probably also make the problem worse. This is why I think that only the SL helmets should be repairable.

I made this as clear as possible because the B18 and B12 talk is confusing as shit.

Good idea. Make in Cargo some machine RO can put helmets in and after some time, helmet are repaired. And it will require metal, like autolathe.

+1, and I'd say repair for both. They're pieces of military equipment, not straw hats.

I've been thinking about this. There "WILL" be a method to repair them once we do our research update eventually, I'm debating if we need a method earlier. If we DID have a method, it would probably be a "repair patch", usable once, and there would only be like, 10 patches in a single box, that the engineer could get from his dispenser.

The armor patches would be nice for people to repair their donor helmets too. It should probably have an apply duration that requires the user to stand still to prevent in-combat patching.

in-combat patching would be QUITE hilarious, since you'll have to have your helmet in your hand to do it.
