Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
So when heading into caves, I believe the cameras should get some interference perhaps some static or something.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
More immersion/rp potential.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
I imagine it could work as a overlay for the screen.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
^^ Not sure if doable or not just an idea.

What made you come to this conclusion? The entire idea seems random to me.

In the film, the marine's cameras ran into interference when heading into the atmospheric processor.kurugi wrote:What made you come to this conclusion? The entire idea seems random to me.

Re: [alpha] Camera Interferance
I believe the interference was due to the fact they were going into a big giant machine with electromagnetic interference from machinery and other things. I don't think the alien hive was causing it.

Re: [alpha] Camera Interferance
It could use some static... However, not fully static... Just some would be blurred or removed about.

This would make sense, caves are known to be a big damper on radio frequencies, to be honest, comms shouldn't even work in the caves.

Subspace Broadcasters are impressive pieces of hardware that are capable of opening large enough subspace windows to transfer de-compressed data bursts, in encoded radio waves, through. They are necessary for any network that is expected to output information back to receiving radio devices. They operate by directing high-powered lasers into a small subspace window and fluctuating the amplitude of radio waves through subspace, allowing the large data packets easier entering and exiting of subspace.XanderDox wrote:This would make sense, caves are known to be a big damper on radio frequencies, to be honest, comms shouldn't even work in the caves.

'Its fucking magic. Don't ask me how it works. Yes, I know I'm the RD. No, that does not mean I should know this shit. They just teach me how to build it and put it back together."
