"OR IN USE" Signs

Post by Rocks4Free » 09 Aug 2015, 17:20

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): A toggleable sign on the OR rooms to show if surgery is currently taking place. They have this on the other server I play on, and I thought it would be nice to have here.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): It would help doctors know if an OR is being used, incase they're taking a patient in and someone yells at them for ruining their sterile environment. Also useful in triage situations to decide what kind of patients should be treated.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): It would work with a holo-sign over the OR doors, when a switch is pressed inside the OR, the holosign lights up and says "SURGERY" on it. Would help doctors know which ORs are in use.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Create a graphic with the sign off, and one with it on, make a switch inside the OR that toggles the graphic. Basically entirely visual.

I believe it's linked to the surgery table the "In Use" sign.

Otherwise I'd check the room anyway's if it was a switch.. because let's be honest, most Doctor's would forget to turn it off.

The baystation 12 in use sign is normally attached to a light switch like thing, it's probably still in the code somewhere.

Well maybe a window to the OR either on a wall or a door.

We have one in place right now. Although I wish there were toggle door locks. Not to mention I feel as though it should be more noticeable.

I feel like doctors will go SSD inside and forgot to open them. I'll make the signs more noticeable.
