Yeah, cutting off someone's arm without proper surgery steps makes him bleed out really fast. No idea how it works, but I basically died 10 secs after someone cut my arm off with a saw via surgery.

What appears to hvae happened, is you remove their arm, didn't use quick-clot and tried to attack a new arm.
My question would be, why were you removing their arm?

Quick-clot is for internal bleeding, and I'm pretty sure that an arm is not an internal organ.apophis775 wrote:What appears to hvae happened, is you remove their arm, didn't use quick-clot and tried to attack a new arm.
Because we still can't print robotic hands and need to loop off the whole limb.apophis775 wrote:My question would be, why were you removing their arm?
Lockie 'Furry' Hughes, your local source of annoyance, medicine and Will. E. Coyote engineering. Mostly medicine. Maybe annoyance.

Re: Robotic limb attachment bug
I believe the process is to remove the arm, then cut the hanging flesh off with a scalpel, reshape with retractors, then use the cautery to seal it. At that point, the missing limb section is stable and he will not bleed out and can function normally, albeit missing the limb. If you have a robotic limb, you can also then attach it. Also. Robotic arms count as hands. No need to have robotic hands. You simply aim at the missing hand with the robotic arm in your active hand, and you will attach it. Voila, the person now has a robotic hand.

Re: Robotic limb attachment bug
Someone dying from having their arm cut off is not a bug. If you don't do it via careful surgery, the patient would bleed out.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Also, did you attempt to give the player an IV while they were bleeding out? If so, you likely gave them blood that wasn't compatible with their own, that would explain the toxin damage.

But doesn't explain why he lost 80% of blood in few seconds.Biolock wrote:Also, did you attempt to give the player an IV while they were bleeding out? If so, you likely gave them blood that wasn't compatible with their own, that would explain the toxin damage.

Re: Robotic limb attachment bug
I think I found the issue. The bleeding rate of open wounds (done by surgery) and lost limbs was way to much, making you bleed out within half a minute if you are not careful. I'll adjust the bleed rate.

Re: Robotic limb attachment bug
Why is a limb's removal blood loss too great? It's not unrealistic.

Re: Robotic limb attachment bug
It is possible that, given the quality of some medical doctors, the bleed rate is too much for them to handle/they may not even know how to stabilize a lost limb.

It takes 20 seconds to bleed out with lost limb.Biolock wrote:Why is a limb's removal blood loss too great? It's not unrealistic.
Either way, fixed.
