It's Actually Alive!

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Essentially, I hope to see it added that instead of players spawning as a larva /after/ somebody has chestbursted. That instead players spawn inside of the infected individual once they are infected. Therefore they are carried around inside them and they can decide when to chest burst.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):It will allow ghosts to not have to wait as long to see if they are going to be spawned in. Plus I think many would appreciate the neat feature.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):In addition to what I stated above, I believe it adds a real psychological aspect of having a chestburster inside of you. If someone is infected by a real player, it will feel much more intense knowing that you are carrying someone around inside of you. In addition, chestbursters can get acclimated to wherever they are going to be spawned in before it actually happens. Something that I think is a good thing.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):Uhm, you know with code magic and stuff like that ;3

Would be interesting...we could expand this even more
Playable huggers,maybe simmilar to pAI stuff asking if you want to be one,non player huggers are ai controlled,starts in grown eggs,they can walk around and latch at hosts faces and maybe unlatch if they are dead but the main feature would be the infect verb...self explanatory hump faces,infect,die....then the player is transfered to the embryo,watching it until a possible evolution meter is full and then it can choose when to burst via a verb..and into larva?
Just some ideas...pretty much AvP2s alien lifecycle option for multiplayer

I agree that doing this would be very cool. I'm just not sure how it goes with general balancing. But if they determine it is alright. Playing as a hugger would make my life complete

I actually belive paradise allowed players to be hugger,but they removed due to players latching,stynning and unlatching before infection i belive....if that becomes a problem we could add new rules or the coders could make it so you can only unlatch if hes already infected or dead

Playing as a hugger? No. Playing as an incubated larva? If possible yes, that sounds like a good idea.

Playing as a Facehugger, while very cool, would be a delicate balancing act. Prehaps going for the Extinction idea that Huggers can only survive for a very limited amount of time outside of a egg and/or alien weed.

For Chestbursters I do support the idea of playing as a Chestburster from gestation to bursting. Not only does it help further invest yourself into your character, thus increasing the immersion factor, but it would also be a cool thing.

I think to prevent a Chestburster spending forever inside someone, there has to be a upper time limit on how long a Chestburster can remain inside a host before bursting automatically.

Or, begin to cause automatic internal bleeding. If someone logs out as an incubated larva, rather then have a mindless xeno pop out of a dying marine, said marine and larva would both die from infection/internal bleeding.

As much as I enjoyed Lifecycle on AVP2, playing as a facehugger here is a bad idea in my opinion. A chestburster inside someone though? Hell yeah. +1 to the original idea.

I'm all for playing as the embryo mostly because if you pop out of a marine at the FOB surrounded by twelve marines there's no hope for you.

Now if you're able to choose when you pop you'd be able to quickly pop out, hide, and dash for a table, and find a vent.

No, this would be complicated, and result in people losing their place in the "spawn-line" if theiy hugger is removed.
