His point is that aliens going braindead and becoming useless lumps is also not a part of the lore, and since xenos maybe number 10-15 in high pop to marines 40-60, losing 5 xenos to SSD is a huge deal.

I'd still rather have a "Join as SSD Xeno" option with scaling timers rather than reversion, though. Admins could always bypass the timer by manually putting themselves or ghosts into the xenos.

I believe I said this earlier as well. THIS is a good idea. It's annoying to sit around as an observer, waiting to join as an SSD larva when there's an SSD sentinel there as well that will remain SSD until the round ends.

We'd all prefer that, I think.

Only reason that wasn't my initial suggestion is I assumed something would have to be given up in return (like xeno team losing a tier 1-3 and only gaining a larva)

But... "Join as SSD Xenomorph" is much better.

Join as SSD Xenomorph would be harder to code, because instead of looking for carbon/mod/xenomorph/larva it would have to run checks through everything.

Just check all xenos then I guess. Either or this would be good. Put a timer on things larger than larva.

Easy way to prevent abuse, if the mob has a client, make a yes or no prompt for devolving. If they're truly SSD and their client is gone, no problem.

necro to resolve the thread: OP suggestion seems to be denied maybe? as well as the ability for ghosts to join into ssd aliens being added i think? Resolved and locked?
