Changing the ranks to be more lore-friendly. Not all SLs , Medics , Specialists and so forth are staff sergeants/sergeants and corporals

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
it will be more lore-friendly and better RP

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
have a rank system/when you have a certain job , you pick a rank that fits the job (NCOs cannot be sergeants and enlisted cannot be commanders and so forth)

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
probably add something about it when you spawn in , like alien evolving but way different. (IE , Pick out of three ranks , and rank will be displayed on sec HUD and in description as a shoulder patch or something similiar)

Current ranking system seems fine to me. However education of it could me more useful so a Standard doesn't go screaming around that He's a Corporal and has served for years.

Since ranks are purely for RP purposes last I checked and do not have any impact on the game, this might happen and I'm fine with it because nobody will care about it. If the guy wants his char to be a corporal, but likes playing standard and doesn't shove this rank up everyone's face each time he gets a chance, this ain't an issue then.

What if I'd like to keep muh snowflake's rank without being forced to main the according role? For reference, its SSG, and though I play SL regularly, I've switched to spec and standard recently.

- 1 Just roleplay the role you're currently assigned as. I've seen cases where people have claimed to be in the Navy (while fighting as a specialist), claimed to outrank the SL as a standard, etc. Before the official ranks I only saw people use their character background rank to be obnoxious (disobey orders claiming higher rank, demand attachments, etc.) so I'm fine with the current system.

Could work, I mean the NCOs of the American army start at Corporal and goes up all the way to Sergent first class (Platoon leader)
